John K. John Selected as Top VP of the Year by IAOTP
John K John, Senior Executive of Corporate and Global Quality Management for Kashiv BioSciences, LLC., was recently selected as Top VP of the Year for 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With more than three decades of experience in the industry, Mr John has certainly proven himself as an expert in his field. As a dynamic, results driven leader, John is an experienced quality executive with expertise in QA/QC. Kashiv BioSciences, LLC, a biopharmaceutical company, is dedicated to developing advanced delivery technologies and a wide range of biopharmaceutical products and biosimilars focusing on patient care. John has been a valuable member of numerous biopharma teams, contributing to the successful launch of several products that have positively impacted patients. These products are known for their outstanding quality. They include Serostim, Humira, Vigamox, Ciprodex, Herceptin, Hylenex, Mucinex, and Xermelo.
Mr. John’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to GMP, a system of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) ensures that products are consistently produced and controlled in accordance with quality standards. The main objective of this design is to reduce the potential risks associated with pharmaceutical production that cannot be entirely eliminated by testing the final product, ISO International Organization for Standardization and Quality Auditing, a tool used to assess the reasons behind subpar quality, the steps taken to address the issues, and the activities carried out to confirm or verify the improvements made in terms of quality.
Before embarking on his career path, Mr. John graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a minor in chemistry. Mr. John achieved a Master of Science in microbiology at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut in 1986.
His impressive repertoire of prior roles includes Vice President of Global GxP Quality, Head of CMO & NPD Quality for Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., The Americas – Health & Personal Care Products & Global Quality Support, Head of Quality Compliance for Cook Pharmica, and Senior Director (Head) of global Quality Operations for Cogenics, Inc.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. John has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for his accomplishments. This year, he will be considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. He will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala at the Magnificent Opryland Hotel this December for his selection as Top VP of the Year for 2024. Mr. John has also been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who in America.

Looking back, John attributes his success to his perseverance, work ethic, and inspiration from over a dozen doctors in his family. When not working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. In the future, he hopes to inspire and influence those getting into the field and to further contribute to the pharmaceutical industry.
