Shane brings a wealth of experience to Ready Nations. Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army’s Special Operations Commands, Where he served with distinction for 15 years until his life was forever changed after surviving his 3rd Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack. Despite ,his injuries, Shane’s commitment to service remained unyielding. After recovering from his wounds, Shane continued his service overseas Aas a private military contractor serving as a personal security detail (PSD) member for the Deputy U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan. ,. 

As a Certified Emergency Manager, Mr. ValVerde contributes to national and international service, assisting various agencies and organizations in  preparedness and response planning efforts and operations. He has served on Incident Management Teams at all levels of government, coordinating hundreds of operations to include numerous catastrophic events. ValVerde’s credentials as a nationally certified trainer have also allowed him to educate thousands of emergency managers and citizens alike in emergency management fundamentals, incident management, planning and preparedness. He has also co-authored several federal training programs, processes, and tools currently in use by local, state and federal governments as doctrinal publications.
