New Jersey Medicare Supplement Plan G rates run $147.88 to $283 a month depending on carrier and age – EasyKind Medicare filed-rate review, July 2026, medicareyourself.com
Medicare Supplement Plan G in New Jersey carries identical federal benefits from every licensed carrier, but 2026 filed rates run $147.88 to $283 a month depending on carrier and age, according to a review of CSG Actuarial data by Cherry Hill brokerage EasyKind Medicare.

Cherry Hill, NJ – September 7, 2026 – Medicare Supplement Plan G in New Jersey is filed by 18 carriers at rates from $147.88 to $260.98 a month for a 65-year-old, a $113 spread for coverage that is legally the same policy everywhere it is sold, according to CSG Actuarial filings EasyKind Medicare reviewed as of July 12, 2026. The gap does not hold steady. By 67 it widens to $116. By 69 it reaches $129, with the most expensive filing climbing to $283.

The plan letter is standardized by federal law, so price is the only real variable. WoodmenLife’s New Jersey Plan G block covers just seven policyholders, and its loss ratio hit 157% in 2024 and 114% in 2025, meaning claims exceeded premiums both years. Three rate increases followed in under two years, 9% in 2024, 15% in 2025, and 9% in early 2026, leaving WoodmenLife ranked 15th of 18 New Jersey Plan G filers and priced 39% above the cheapest option.

Bankers Fidelity shows the other end: it ranks second of 18 at age 65 and becomes the cheapest Plan G filing by 70. Its only rate increase on record is 6.9%, filed February 2026, with a loss ratio of 45% as of 2025. Membership grew fivefold in a year, worth watching, but the math today favors the policyholder.

A New Jersey resident is not stuck with a plan drifting the wrong way. Since Plan G is standardized, a policyholder can move the same coverage to a different carrier at any time, though applications outside a protected window generally involve medical underwriting. New enrollees have the cleanest path: the state’s six-month Medigap open enrollment period, starting with Part B enrollment, guarantees acceptance regardless of health history. Four of the 18 carriers also file a household discount of 5% to 11.1%, easy to miss shopping one insurer at a time.
