Based on past achievements, there are many changes this year. According to Fang Shizhong, director of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, this Shanghai International Artwork Trade Week is planned to be held in November. There are three main considerations: Firstly, deepen institutional innovation and form a “SHANGHAI PLAN ” for systematic reform; Secondly, promote activity innovation and strengthen the “SHANGHAI BRAND” of cultural relics and artworks; Thirdly, promote business innovation and run out of the “SHANGHAI TRACK” of digital transformation.
This trade week will continue to focus on the overall strategy of “policy centralization, subject centralization, trade centralization, and benefit centralization” and take “GLOBAL ART IN SHANGHAI ” as the theme to gather three major art fairs: The 1st China International Antiques and Fine Art Fair, ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair , and West Bund Art&Design, with a total of more than 200 exhibitors, 6,000 exhibits and an estimated value of over RMB 5 billion.
It will concentrate on holding high-quality art activities such as “Shanghai Dialogue”, “Art Bund”, and “Hues of Shanghai The Fine Art Exhibition Season” . At the same time, it will promote the implementation of reform policies, establish full-process service guarantee, take a leading position in Asia-Pacific art trade, and lay a solid foundation for Shanghai to build an important international art trade center.
