Author and Retired Postal Worker Thomas Milhouse Announces New Storybook and eBook/epub, “Myla’s Letter,” for Pre-Order

December 16, 2021 – Thomas L. Milhouse, an author and retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, has announced the release of a new children’s book, “Myla’s Letter,” on December 15, 2021. Available in print and eBook formats, the “Myla’s Letter” storybook is now accepting pre-orders until December 15, 2021.

In “Myla’s Letter,” readers follow the adventures of Myla, a young girl, after her local United States Postal Letter Carrier, Sunny, proffers his duties to her. As he collects, posts, and delivers mail for Myla, her passion for collecting stamps and writing letters about her life experiences begins to surface, until one day, she gets to visit her grandparents and takes an exciting boat ride to the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. A light, colorful read, the storybook features illustrations that bring each page to life, while adding an immersive QR code-based world with musical slides, videos, Educational videos, to further add to the experience and allow readers to feel as they read through secondary content. In addition, each book comes with instructions for an interactive do-it-yourself board game completely designed ready to play, the first inspired by the postal service.

“I am excited to announce the release of the storybook and eBook, the first inspired by the United States Postal Service,” remarked author Thomas L. Milhouse. “The book offers a fun, light story about writing letters, collecting stamps, and experiencing the world around us, and its immersive nature only adds to the experience for young readers. The book will go a long way toward supporting the Postal Service and our non-profit Letter Destination and Safety Kids in-school Programs as well,” added Milhouse.

To enter, United States postal workers must take a selfie of themselves in uniform at their work location and submit it via upload, while Customers must submit proof of purchase in stamps, money orders, supplies, special gifts to receive the download of the free eBook.
