But often, people find it too selfish to take care of oneself without understanding the basic truth that self love is one of the major keys to improve oneself. In that light, award-winning musician-turned-author Mykal Coles has recently released his maiden book that shares inspiration and also tips on taking care of oneself. Titled “iMatter: A Guide To Self-Love”, the book aims to help readers scale up themselves into better human beings in thirty days.

Per his statements, his new book on self-love would also help to boost confidence for those who are down with low self-esteem or are always doubtful about self-worth. “iMatter” encourages one to put oneself first and not be ashamed about it since it’s much needed and certainly not selfish.

While asked about the inspiration behind the book, Coles mentioned about his huge family of 27 kids that has taught him the importance of being there and taking care of people. But over time, he has also realized that he won’t be of any good to anyone if he doesn’t take care of himself first or does not value his own self-worth.

“Taking care of myself is not selfish, rather it’s one of the most important factors to having a fulfilling and happy life.”

Added to motivating self-love, the book also shares ideas and guides on creating healthy habits that would help one to be a better spouse and parent as well.

Interestingly, Coles has also launched a skin care brand under the banner of iMatter. The line is bustling with a wide range of products for both men and women, including but not limited to face mist, beard oil, hand & body cream, charcoal mask, face scrub and more.

About the author

An award-winning artist, Mykal Coles commenced his career in music at the tender age of 6. Inspired by gospel music, he joined Youth Delegation Mass Choir in his youth which offered him the opportunity to work together with Gospel Greats like James Bignon, John P Kee and so on. His tryst with the business of music happened in 2001 when he met Snoop Dogg’s artist Kurupt  and that very same year he joined Takedown Records in the eminent designation of VP. Over the years, he has worked in various renowned musical and entertainment projects like “Swagger Family Show” and it was through Swagger Family Record, the artist released his debut solo album (Mykal) in 2016.
